Family ownership with clear business objectivesRettig ICC is a fully owned subsidiary of the Rettig Group Ltd, based in Helsinki, Finland. It is a family run company and now in the hands of the 8th generation of the von Rettig family. With more than 200 years of business tradition, its roots do back further than almost any other company in Finland. Rettig started life as a tobacco business, but the company diversified its operations in the early years to shipping and later to other industrial engagements including wine, spirits, juices and confectionary. Over the years the Rettig Group has faced a number of strategic crossroads. The industrial business portfolio, originally of domestic character, has evolved into a pan-European engagement in heat emitters and growing commitments in shipping and real estate development. In 2006, Rettig Group turnover amounted to EUR 693,7 million and the number of employees reached 3,900 Rettig Group has a strong presence in Europe with operations in 20 countries and increasingly in China and the USA.
