Organisation - Focussed on profitable growth and clear reporting

A major element of the “Pioneer” restructuring programme has been the fundamental change in organisation. Rettig ICC has effectively moved from being a company-driven to a more functional organisation. These key functions are now visible in the new Rettig ICC organisation, operative from 1st April 2007, and create linkages between the two brand umbrellas, Operations and the Shared Service Support structure.

The two Brand Umbrellas are represented via the two respective Brand Directors in the Rettig ICC Management Team.  The Brand Directors are responsible for their respective brand's financial performance and their own Brand Management teams are expected to apply entrepreneurial behaviour to achieve their brand objectives and live up to their new brand positioning.

Operations, under the responsibility of the Chief Operations Officer (COO), cover Manufacturing, Logistics and Purchasing.  The COO, together with his two Operational Directors for Steel Panel and Special plants, have the responsibility to manage productivity targets, investments and drive synergies across their respective plants.

The Deputy CEO is responsible for Business Unit Controls and Group Research & Development

Shared Service Structures are represented in the Rettig ICC Management Team via Corporate Finance, the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) and the Chief Information Officer (COI)

Collectively, Rettig ICC management has to apply "group thinking" and take decisions for the benefit of the group. Synergies have to be exploited in order to improve the performance of our brands and our plants, to strengthen Rettig ICC as a whole and to create benefits for our customers. Group management has to act as a facilitator for inter-company communication and to support the transfer of best practice.

A new Key Account Management position has been created to facilitate coordination of large European customer accounts.
