R&D - Structure

Innovation is the lifeblood of any forward-looking industrial enterprise. Since 2005, Rettig ICC has operated a centralised R&D structure.

The launch of Project Pioneer within the Rettig ICC organisation means that brand umbrella management will define future product and systems requirements together with the support of central R&D structure,

With effect from July 2007 the original R&D Competence Centre model has evolved into the following Product Group structure:

· Panel Radiators
· Decorative Radiators and Convectors
· Underfloor Heating
· Electric Heating
· Valves and Control
· Fan Convectors

These new R&D Product Group Teams offer platforms for structured New Product Development and Product Change Processes across Rettig ICC. Each Product Group team is headed up by a R&D Management team member who brings together key people from Front Offices, Operations and R&D.

Advantages of this structure include:

· a better representation from all appropriate functions throughout the new Rettig ICC structure in our R&D processes
· R&D teams based on clearly distinct product groups
· the benefit of drawing on the knowledge and experience of key people in our organisation
· clarification of product direction and prioritisation of higher value projects
· faster decision making via empowered leaders and team members.
