Operations - Concept

Since 1st April 2007, a new Operations management structure has come into force to ensure that Rettig manufacturing plants remain the most cost-efficient and process focussed in the industry.

This necessity is based on the realisation that Operations require a central vision and that Group plants increasingly need to be managed on a like for like basis as opposed to a stand-alone basis as integrated units of national companies.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), two newly appointed Operation Directors will assume overall management for 8 Steel Panel and 7 Specials plants.

A newly created central logistics and purchasing team will ensure that scale economies are maximised in the purchasing process, bring coordination to product sourcing where necessary and provide a backbone for helping larger customers with improving supply chain issues.
