Jakobstad

The original plant was founded in 1953 in the village of Purmo in Finland. After Rettig acquired
the company in 1971, the name of the village was transferred to the brand name of the products.

After a series of mergers and acquisitions in the Nordic area, Rettig has progressively decided to
concentrate its Nordic production in the town of Jakobstad. Jakobstad is only 20 km away from
where it all started and lying on the North Western coast of Finland offers ideal transport
possibilities into Finland and the whole of Scandinavia.

All in all, the Jakobstad site covers an area of 30,000 square metres and has around 230
employees. The annual production capacity lies at around 1 million radiators and the turnover of
2007 was approx. 57 million Euro.

Today, it is the most modern and efficient steel panel factory in Scandinavia and produces
radiators and flat tube convectors for the brands Purmo and Thermopanel (www.purmo.com and
www.thermopanel.se).

The factory and its operations are certified for ISO 9001 an ISO 14001, and the products are
conform to all the leading standards including RAL, NF, Kitemark, Sanros.

All radiators come with the market leading 10 year guarantee.
