AB Markaryds Metallarmatur is based in the town of Markaryd in Skane in Southern Sweden. The business dates from the 1950's when the company started to manufacture heating fittings and water valves. They were also at an early stage engaged as subcontractors to various companies in need of their professional skills. Today Markaryds still manufactures, on a subcontract basis, many different components which demand high precision. There are about 120 co-workers who develop, manufacture and market a complete range of radiator fittings, heating fittings and cooling fittings. The plant masters the whole chain from raw material to finished product. All tools are made within the company. This gives Markaryds full control over quality. Markaryds has a unique knowledge of manufacturing wax dispatch carriers, i.e. sensors. The sensors are a part of our own thermostats as well as being a part of mixing valves, thermostatic bathroom mixing taps, air valves etc. They produce several hundreds of thousands every year. All sensors are tested - nothing is left to chance. The company is certified according to ISO9001. The products are characterised by their top quality and distinctive precision which guarantee stable and reliable control. The laboratory is provided by equipment to carry out advanced material and product tests according to current European norms.
