The Diemlach plant, formerly part of Vogel & Noot Wärmetechnik AG has been operating since May 2007 under the new legal entity of “Rettig Austria GmbH”. This Austrian site covers more than 30.000 m², of which 15.000 m² comprises Production and Warehouse buildings. With 100 employees, annual production runs close to 200.000 pieces for bathroom radiators, convectors and design radiators available in Round and Flat tube formats. A high level of automation is reached in the Diemlach plant. Production equipment starts with the cutting, bending and closing of the different tubes. Welding assembly operations follow before leakage tests, chemical pre-treatment (the ATL-base lacquer,) and powder coating in the different oven areas. The final step is the packaging system before the finished goods are transferred to the warehouse for customer distribution. Certifications for ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 are done and available. Manufacturing at the Diemlach plant has a long and varied history. The industrial site itself exists since 1867. Over the years steel, wire and nails have all been produced under different ownerships. The “Vogel & Noot” Brand arrived on the site in 1985 with the arrival of production equipment for pressed parts (agriculture, automotive) and hot water tanks (150 – 1000 ltr.). In 1996 Vogel & Noot invested heavily and transformed the plant into the production we know today dedicated to special radiators. With the acquisition of Vogel & Noot Wärmetechnik AG by OY Rettig AB in 2002, Diemlach has been able to flex its capabilities and broaden its sales and distribution base with finished goods now exported to nearly all European countries and beyond. Certain administrative processes are conducted seamlessly from the nearby Wartberg site in Austria.
