Neil Macpherson announces his retirement as CEO of Rettig ICC

Neil Macpherson, Chief Executive Officer of Rettig ICC, has today announced that he will retire from the business at the end of 2017 on his 60th birthday. He will continue as a senior advisor for an agreed period of time.

Neil joined Rettig UK in 2004 as Gateshead and Hull Director and became Brand Director for Myson, covering sites in Gateshead, Birtley and Bolton later that year. He subsequently became Deputy CEO of Rettig ICC in 2005 and CEO of RICC in 2012. During his time with the business Neil has played a vital role in the development and growth of Rettig ICC. He was involved in a number of acquisitions, including the acquisition of Seris in Turkey (Rettig Metal), (2009), Hewing (2012) and most recently Emmeti (2015).

Neil commented: “I have taken the decision to retire from my role of CEO with Rettig ICC. I have very much enjoyed my period of time working at Rettig ICC and I do regard my appointment as CEO as the pinnacle of my career. I am confident that Rettig ICC will continue to go from strength to strength, not least because we have such strong and committed people across every level of our business.”

Perttu Louhiluoto appointed

Neil will be replaced by Perttu Louhiluoto (53), Master of Law and M.Sc. (Econ.) who will join the business later this year.

Perttu Louhiluoto is currently working as President for the Minerals Service Business Area of Finnish Metso. He has worked for Metso since 2008 and since 2011 as President for several of Metso’s other Business Areas. Before that he worked as Partner for McKinsey & Company.

Currently Perttu Louhilehto is also member of the Board of Cramo and East Office of Finnish Industries as well as Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of My o My Oy.
